TL;DR
In this second-week-of-June 2026 edition of Adli's Weekly Games Review, there are around 20 titles worth a quick look across various genres — Chrono Trigger, Border Pioneer, Sektori, High Times, Echo Isle, and many more.
Honestly... this week had a lot of genuinely great games, and you'll find plenty below where my recommendation lands on "Recommended." But since I can only pick five for the big poster spots, I had to narrow it down to my five favorites from this week's long list.
So go ahead, read all the way down to see the titles I played this week!

Sektori is... a genuinely unique game, and even though you might feel confused at first — like I did 😂 — your curiosity will keep pulling you back in, again and again, until it finally clicks: "Oh? This game's actually kind of interesting? 👀"
And that's exactly what I felt 🤣🤣🤣
Honestly, early on, it just felt confusing and disorienting. What even is this game? Why don't I get it? What's that? What's this? Why does the music sound so good but the gameplay feels so chaotic? Am I supposed to grab the yellow ones? The blue ones? Avoid the pink and red ones? 🤣🤣🤣 So much confusion on my part 🤣🤣🤣
But over time, the more curious I got, the more I tried... the more it clicked. It's actually pretty simple: it's a fast-paced game that blends bullet-hell with roguelike elements. In short, you need to collect blue items or letters spelling MIRAGE, while dodging and shooting endlessly spawning enemies, all while upgrading your abilities as you play. Sounds simple, right? But personally, I only really got it after 20–30 minutes, once I had stockpiled enough items, unlocked some passive abilities, and the game finally started clicking 🤣🤣🤣 Yeah... the journey there is bloody and brutal, but... the adrenaline hits, the dopamine hits, and that's exactly what makes it fun 🤣🤣🤣

I'd actually been wanting to try the demo for Echo Isle for a while, but never had the time. Eventually, I was offered a key for the full game, and accepted it. And... I'm thrilled. The game is good!
Yep, just as the playtime above shows, around two hours, and that's the full game completed 🤣 For organic coverage — unpaid promo — I usually only play around 35–40 minutes, but this one was good enough, and I'd already gotten a hint that it wouldn't be too long — at a certain point you're told you only need to collect four items. Knowing it would be short, and already having enjoyed an hour of it, I decided to just finish the whole thing in one sitting. And I'm glad I did! The game is great!
The exploration is fun, the puzzles are fun, the gameplay is fun, and the story — while short — is easy to follow. The only real downside, in my opinion, is the combat, which feels "fairly easy," so it might come across as not very challenging. Loot like "blood," money, and similar resources are scattered all over the place too, so it's easy in that sense as well. The toughest part across those two hours was probably... the boss stage. But overall, it's good, it's short, and I'd very much recommend this game.

Short Review
In this game, you play as one character whose goal is to rescue a group of people who appear as statues — referred to as the Forlorn — each of whom is held back by their own personal struggle or issue. Some hide away out of insecurity, some are too afraid to take on certain tasks, some feel inadequate at something, and so on. After you rescue each of them, they gather at a campfire area, and once you've rescued everyone, you can move on to the next area. Each area has roughly 7–8 people to rescue, if I'm remembering correctly...
In terms of the game itself, it's genuinely engaging. The puzzles, while they make you think, never feel overly difficult. I'm about four hours into my playtime, and there's really only been one puzzle I'd call tough, taking around 30 minutes to solve. There's also a narrator who's constantly talking and narrating the game's story, which can get a bit annoying since it's quite chatty 🙂 But overall, it's still bearable. The audio is good too. As for gameplay, the exploration and the fun of discovering objects scattered around the game world feel genuinely enjoyable. The UI is also comfortable and easy to read and understand. The only real downside seems to be the visuals... they can occasionally get too demanding, causing the FPS to become unstable and stutter between scenes.

Short Review
I had already played the demo for this game before. And honestly... Hm... not much has changed. Stability is the same, visuals are the same, audio is the same, and the UI feels the same too. So I didn't really notice that much difference. In this game, you wake up on a floating island in the sky, where you can survive, build your own little civilization, and so on. Solo, that is — not really a "civilization" in the multi-person sense. That's my understanding anyway, since you'll be collecting all sorts of items for crafting, building houses, objects, growing crops, and so on. So in short, it's genuinely a self-management, environment-management, and survival sim.
Throughout my playthrough, I didn't really run into any major hurdles or challenges. It's really just a relaxed loop of surviving and growing. Item collection doesn't feel too difficult either, since the items you need are scattered widely across the island, or sometimes need to be crafted from base materials like honey. That said... a few things are worth flagging. The visuals don't seem to hold steady at 60 FPS — I had to cap the FPS via AMD Adrenalin — and the day/night cycle feels dynamic but also fast, since a full day only lasts around 10 minutes of game time. There's also head-bob and FOV settings that might trigger motion sickness for certain players — like me. And regarding the audio settings, I don't quite understand why they went with a default, +1, -1, and so on scale instead of the usual 0–100 range. But overall, it's "decent" for now.

This one might honestly count as a hidden gem? It's genuinely fun. As a bullet-hell entry, it holds up well. The economy is solid, the passive and active abilities work well, the audio is good, and the UI and UX are decent overall, even if a few things are a bit confusing at first and can lead to accidentally selling or buying the wrong item.
Probably the most enjoyable part here is the freedom to choose and customize the vehicle you use as your weapon. You can pick which weapon to use, which crew member to bring along, what to upgrade, and so on. So while the visuals aren't exactly stunning, the overall experience is still fun, and the game ends up feeling genuinely enjoyable.

Now we're moving on to a game with realistic graphics: Myst. This is the first time I've played this game, and I've never played the original version either. If I'm not mistaken, this is a remaster or remake of the game of the same name. Now, even though the visuals look great, the audio is solid, and the UI is easy enough to understand — though I personally found the notes and photos section a bit clunky — this game really doesn't give you any clues or hints, and there isn't much narrative either, so you're genuinely "dropped" into a world and expected to figure out and solve the puzzles on your own.
Sounds tough, huh?
Yep.
That's pretty much my take on it. You really have to pay close attention — checking which objects you can enter, which ones you can interact with, whether something has changed, and so on. Honestly, if I hadn't gotten a hint from a viewer — nausium — I probably would've stayed lost all the way to the end. Luckily I got that hint, so I was able to keep going until around the 73-minute mark. Because I genuinely enjoyed the fun of it, and it didn't feel right to slot this into Neutral/So-So, so I'm giving it a Recommended. With the caveat that you really do need sharp eyes, or already be comfortable with puzzle games.

Short Review
This is a DLC for the original game, Necrophosis. Necrophosis itself is built around Lovecraftian, surreal, puzzle, eerie, and mystery themes. The DLC itself is actually quite short — just 40 minutes, and that's it, fully completed. As for story, there really isn't much, since there's no explicit narrative beyond a few conversations from certain objects or characters, and even those are very... poetic and ambiguous. The kind of thing you can't fully grasp on a single read.
On the technical side, the visuals are good, the audio is good, CPU and GPU performance is more stable, and the puzzles aren't overly difficult. It doesn't feel anywhere near as long as the base game. So for a DLC priced at 50k IDR, it feels reasonable. It adds new story and context without dragging on too long or feeling too short either.

Next up, a tower defense, city builder, and RTS hybrid. In this game, you're tasked with protecting and building up a city against periodic monster attacks targeting your settlement. Over time, you can also gather resources, expand your city, build up defenses, all the way through to the end of the campaign. Overall, I think the game is fun. The audio is good, the visuals are good, but the UI isn't the most comfortable since the text feels too small and too thin for my taste — though my overall experience still left me thinking this game is enjoyable.

Now we're moving into a dating sim wrapped around donut shop management, in the demo of High Times. This game is developed by Yangyang Mobile, who's also behind several other visual novels like The Letter and Saint Maker. I can't say much more beyond those two titles I just mentioned, but the demo really "sells" itself. The writing is good, the voice acting is pleasant and engaging to follow as you play through the visual novel, and the visuals, UI, and audio are all polished. Hence, it's convincing.
And the same goes for this demo. Honestly, I didn't finish the whole demo. Since it's just a demo, I only played for around half an hour — usually I don't even spend that much time. But that half hour was enough to fully sell me on this game. The visuals are appealing, the writing is good, the voice acting and audio are good too, and the donut-shop-owner simulation gameplay is fun and intuitive to play. So overall, this is a great demo to play!
Hopefully I get the chance to play the full game in the future!

Next up, a pixel-art game in the Action RPG, JRPG, and Story Rich genres: Colossus - Eternal Blight. The game is currently still in development, and you can also check its status on Kickstarter.
Overall, the demo is solid. Though... the tutorial felt like a lottttttt and "kinda intrusive," but it's still bearable. Visually, it's quite nice — though early on I misread the characters as female when it turned out to be male — the audio is good too, the world feels alive, and the UI is fine. The buttons and controls... Hm... might be a bit clunky. There are a lot of button combinations you have to press, and I'm not sure whether that'll be revised in the future. One more thing, maybe regarding the combat: it's fun, but also feels... fairly tough. I personally had some trouble pulling off a good parry, enemies sometimes show up in large numbers, and checkpoints can feel really far apart. Not to mention sometimes solving just one puzzle requires you to circle around an incredibly long route, even though the solution is technically right in front of you.
So... overall good, but since it's still a demo, I can't give a very lengthy take on it just yet.

Hm... This is still a demo, so there's likely to be a lot of changes down the line. But for now... it feels very grindy, and there are a bunch of features that feel unnecessary and just end up cluttering your formation. So the concept is: enemies come from the right, you come from the left. To attack, you bring units from your base into formation, and you can field various unit types into battle, including... totems. The thing is, totems don't actually attack enemies. Their role is more support-oriented, or you could call it passive — boosting stats without actively attacking. But... they still take up "space" in your formation. So a slot that could've gone to an actual combat unit ends up being taken by a totem instead.
The economy also feels... a bit unbalanced. Upgrades feel pricey, and sometimes you end up upgrading something that turns out to not be all that necessary, or not all that useful either. So it ends up feeling like... a really grindy and occasionally pointless loop. But hey, since it's still a demo, this game will likely see a lot of changes going forward... Hopefully for the better.

Know chess? Familiar with the turn-based genre? Well, this game — Empire in Decay — combines those two elements together with Roguelike, Deckbuilder, and Strategy into one package. So... is it easy to understand and fun to play?
Well... Not really.
How do I put it. The visuals look great, the animations are also seriously cool. The audio... is fine. The UI is also clearly readable. But... the gameplay somehow feels confusing and seems to lean heavily on RNG — random luck, essentially. Or maybe I'm just not getting how to strategize properly? But there were plenty of moments where I won, and I had no idea why. Or I lost, and also had no idea why. Or I'd get "defeated," yet still end up with the Achievement marked as "completed."
So... I genuinely don't know yet. I'm not sure if it's just me being "slow," or if the game is genuinely hard to grasp, but at this point, the gameplay still hasn't clicked for me. And personally, I don't know whether, once it releases — scheduled for July 23/24, 2026 — it'll land well with the public or not.

Confused? The game's titled Warehouse Tycoon, but the trailer above says e-Shop Tycoon? Yep, looks like it got renamed at some point. But on Steam right now, it's listed as Warehouse Tycoon — though there's also another, unrelated game with the exact same name on Steam.
In short, here you'll be building an online marketplace platform — basically a Tokopedia or Amazon-style sim. You'll start out tiny, serving just a small local area, and gradually scale up bigger and bigger. Simple, right? Yes, the concept really is that simple, so it's easy to understand right away. And after about 40 minutes, it already feels like there's a lot accomplished, which is a good sign.
The visuals are nothing special, but they're clear and fit the game's theme. The UI is fairly clear too, though it can get a bit confusing with how many buttons, icons, and sections there are. The audio... is a bit monotonous, but still fine overall. The biggest downside is probably... the periodic auto-save feature? I'd played for roughly 35 minutes when, well... it turned out the auto-save checkpoints were spaced really far apart. So when my business went bankrupt around the 35-minute mark, well... everything was lost, and I had to restart from the last save point, which meant redoing an enormous amount of progress.
Since it's still a demo, I stopped there for now. But overall, it's already enjoyable to play. Hopefully by the time it releases, this issue gets ironed out a bit more...

Short Review and Rating
Short Review
This one... honestly, it's a bit... confusing. Or maybe more accurately, disappointing.
I actually got the key to cover this game a verrrrrrry long time ago. It took roughly 45 days before I finally recorded my gameplay for it. So the wait was extremely long. Normally, when I get a key to play a game organically/for free, the waiting time is around 3–5 weeks. So 45 days is really excessive — about 6–7 weeks since I first got the key.
The issue?
This game's file size is massive. At launch, if I recall correctly, it was around 150 GB; later it dropped to around 100 GB, and now it's down to 50 GB. For a streamer/content creator/writer who usually plays for around 40 minutes for a first impression, downloading 150 GB is a huge waste of internet bandwidth, especially since I'm on a monthly quota. My internet usage cap per month is only 2,400 GB, and that has to be split between streaming uploads to Twitch and YouTube, downloading games, and other usage. Hence why the wait dragged on so long.
And when I finally played it... Hm... it was a bit disappointing.
The visuals are good. By visuals I mean the environment, not necessarily the character models and such. The world is incredibly vast, and beautiful too. Genuinely Open World, and absolutely massive. So exploration-wise, it's already pretty solid. The audio is... fine too. The music is good, SFX is good. The UI... is decent. Readable, functional, but not exactly great either. Performance-wise... not good. GPU, CPU, and FPS are still fairly unstable. I even had to use Frame Generation just to get it to a more acceptable level. Unfortunately, because the FPS is unstable, the camera also becomes unstable, which ends up triggering motion sickness. 😮💨
As for combat... this game tries to be a lot of genres at once. Souls-like? Metroidvania? Roguelike? Roguelite? So many at once. There's a stamina system, parrying, and so on. The tutorial... isn't great. You could call it intrusive. There were even moments where, if I forgot a control, I couldn't even find the button mapping in the menu. Exploration is similar. Since it's Open World, sometimes I'd have to circle around an extremely long route just to reach one area. Or sometimes on the map, an area would appear to be right below me, but once I got close, it turned out to be separated by a deep ravine or gap I couldn't jump across.
There's probably more I could mention, but I'm too tired to go through every detail. So... all I can do is hope that things get improved going forward so the overall quality can be better...

Short Review
After several months away from Chrono Trigger since I first played it, I picked it back up this time — though I started off with some technical issues, eventually deciding to switch to the SNES version instead. And it was fun!
Long story short, the main character — whose name can be changed, though I kept using Crono — can time-travel to different eras in the past, with the second main character, Marle, serving as the catalyst. Marle herself turns out to be the wife of a king, her child, her child's child, and so on, several generations into the future 🤣 In the opening, Marle gets transported (?) back to the past. From there, Crono sets out to rescue Marle, accompanied by Lucca. Throughout the journey, you'll meet many other supporting characters along the way, both enemies and supporting protagonists.
Overall, I really, really enjoyed this. Exploration is great, the visuals are great, the audio is great, the story is great — and easy to follow and understand — and combat is great too. Economy and balance also feel right. Things aren't overpriced for shopping or upgrading gear, and the enemy difficulty feels well-tuned too. Nothing felt overpowered on either side. That's exactly why the game feels so fun to play and enjoy. Happy!

Short Review
Hm... This game is... interesting, but also feels a bit lacking at the same time. Whenever I hear the word "racing," I picture racing against a crowd of opponents — rivals, competitors, that sort of thing. But this game... it's called Racing, yet what it actually feels like is just completing objectives. There's no opponents, no rivals — there are plenty of cars on the road, but that's about it. So it ends up feeling... flat.
On the other hand, performance is good, visuals are nice, audio is solid, the camera can be switched between three different POVs — points of view — and the UI is easy to read. The economy... is fairly grindy, but mainly on the cosmetic side, where prices are steep. Buying cars is also pricey, but it still feels within reasonable limits, since I was able to afford my second car — which is noticeably quieter, me likey 🩵 — within about 30 minutes.
But still... even though it's overall OK, it lacks bite because there's no real challenge from other racers. It's like eating Indomie without a boiled or sunny-side-up egg. Tasty, but something feels missing.

Next up, let's renovate a room. In BOXROOM, we get to overhaul a room's furniture, wall paint, flooring, windows, doors, walls, and so on. You just open up the in-game catalog magazine, pick the item you want, and place it wherever you'd like. Sounds simple, right?
Yeah, if only the execution were that simple.
The concept is interesting, but the execution is rather clunky and convoluted. I'd find myself confused. How exactly am I supposed to change this wall? Why did this door suddenly turn into two doors when I placed it? Wait, why did the window get cut off when I placed it here? Why doesn't this object disappear when I hit it? Why can't I place this here? And so on. There were a lot of issues that seemed to stem from this game's UX.
As for performance, it's actually fine. Visuals are good, audio... is good, and CPU, GPU, and RAM are all stable. The real downside is more about the minimalist UI and the UX, which leads to a lot of mistakes during gameplay, making the overall experience less enjoyable than it could be.

Short Review and Rating
Short Review
Now we're playing a music-box-themed puzzle game, with a sad story centered on a father's regret toward his daughter and his wife's circumstances. In this game, you'll follow the sorrowful story of a young girl — Edith — by solving puzzles within a music box. With this music box, you have to safely guide a swan from a starting point to an ending point inside the box. Along the way, while solving puzzles, you'll come across various items like letters, voice recordings, certain documents, and so on.
On the technical side, it's actually solid. Visuals are good, audio is good, and there's even Indonesian-language text — though it does come across as machine translation since it feels a bit... stiff. As for the UI... it's extremely minimalist. There are no hints or anything similar, so as a player you genuinely have to think things through on your own, figuring out how to proceed. There isn't even a built-in hint system. So if you get stuck in one area, you're on your own — or you could try looking up gameplay videos on YouTube for guidance. But overall, it's still good, even though I'm not sure yet whether my impression will shift once I've played through the full version...

Now, you're tasked with managing train transportation between "cities" so the residents — various animals like dogs, pigs, rabbits, mice, and so on — can travel smoothly and comfortably wherever they need to go. I'd previously played the demo for this, around 11 months back. Basically, you just drag a line from one city to another to connect them, or cut a rail line to disconnect them.
Sounds fun, right?
Yeah, at first.
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
No, seriously. This game doesn't have a campaign option, so you'll just keep playing for as long as you can survive. There are milestones you can reach at the top of the screen, where you collect "dog paws," which can later be used to unlock various new areas on the available map. But because there's no campaign, I often found myself overwhelmed as things got increasingly chaotic, and my transport network became too tangled to keep up with the residents' movement needs. So in a panic, it eventually led to a game over. Or maybe... that's actually intentional? 🤔
Anyway, on the technical side, the visuals are nice. Cute and adorable art and UI design. Love it! The audio is good too. When it's bustling, it sounds bustling; when it's chaotic, it sounds chaotic; when it's calm, it sounds calm 🤣 The UI is also fine, easy to understand, so it doesn't cause confusion while playing. The downside is probably... the UX? It can sometimes be confusing figuring out how to properly cut a track, or redirect one route into another...

Last one! Now we're going to... sacrifice human "captives" to protect civilization from the threat of the Moon God. Hahaha.... 😈😈😈
No, but seriously, that's actually the concept. As the last remaining tribe, we now have to rebuild civilization from scratch — renovating the city center (the temple), producing resources, building settlements, food, and so on. Typical civilization-management stuff. The challenge in this game's world comes from a spiritual threat: the Moon God. To stay safe from this threat, you need to use blood at the temple, which will later form into... an atmospheric orb that protects you from the Moon God's attacks at night. Kind of like Harry Potter, at a glance 🤣
Overall, it's solid. Visuals are good, audio is good... minus the voice acting, which currently uses AI. As for the UI... sometimes it's clearly readable, but most of the time it's hard to read because the text is way too small. Gameplay-wise, it feels solid too — it's not so complicated that you end up micro-managing everything. Performance is also good. CPU runs smoothly, GPU runs smoothly, and RAM and vRAM are fine too.
